Refund Policy

guarda.net paid plans are one-time purchases — nothing renews automatically. This policy explains when you are entitled to a refund and how we handle billing problems.

Last updated: August 2026

Free plan first

Every account starts on the Free plan with 500 daily queries and full access to the detection engine. We strongly recommend evaluating the API on the Free plan before purchasing, since paid plans differ only in volume and convenience features.

No subscriptions, no automatic renewals

  • Every paid plan is a single, one-time payment for a fixed access period.
  • We never store a payment method for recurring billing and never charge you again automatically.
  • There is nothing to cancel: when the paid period ends, the account reverts to the Free plan.

14-day refund window

If you are not satisfied with your first purchase, contact us within 14 days of that payment and we will refund it in full, provided usage in that period stayed below 20% of the plan's included volume. Refunds are returned to the original payment method (card via Stripe) within 5–10 business days.

Unintended or duplicate charges

Because nothing renews, any charge you did not deliberately make is an error. If you were double-charged or billed for a purchase you did not authorise, email us within 30 days and we will refund it in full.

Service failures

If a verified outage or defect on our side prevents you from using the API for a meaningful part of a billing period, we will issue a pro-rata credit or refund for the affected time. Incidents are published on our status page.

Not eligible for refunds

  • Accounts terminated for breaching the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Dissatisfaction with detection results that are within documented accuracy expectations, after substantial usage.
  • Charges older than 30 days that were not raised with support.

Billing questions and chargebacks

Please contact support@guarda.net before opening a dispute with your bank or card issuer — almost every billing issue is resolved within one business day. Our charges appear on statements under our registered business name shown on the contact page.
