Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the guarda.net website, dashboard and API (the “Service”). By creating an account or making a payment you agree to these terms.

Last updated: August 2026

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Guarda (“we”, “us”). Our registered business details and support address are published on the contact page. All support requests go to support@guarda.net.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for all activity performed with your credentials and API keys. Keep API keys secret; rotate or revoke them from the dashboard if you suspect compromise.

3. The service

guarda.net returns risk signals about IP addresses (proxy, VPN, hosting and TOR indicators, geolocation, network ownership and a risk score). Results are probabilistic estimates generated from third-party and heuristic data sources. They are provided for informational purposes and must not be used as the sole basis for denying a person access to a service, employment, credit, housing or any other legally significant decision.

4. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

5. Plans and billing

  • All prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and exclude any applicable taxes or VAT, which are added at checkout where required.
  • Paid plans are one-time purchases that grant access for a fixed period from the date of payment. They are not subscriptions.
  • We never charge you automatically. Nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel; when the paid period ends the account reverts to the Free plan until you purchase again.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider (card payments via Stripe). We never store full card details on our servers.
  • If a payment fails or is reversed, API access on the paid plan may be suspended.
  • Prices may change at any time; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that purchase, and existing paid periods are unaffected.

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Quotas and fair use

Each plan includes a daily query allowance. Requests beyond the allowance are rejected until the quota resets. We may rate-limit or throttle traffic that threatens platform stability, and we may contact you about upgrading if sustained usage exceeds your plan.

8. Availability and support

We aim for high availability and publish incidents on our status page, but the Service is provided without an uptime guarantee unless a written agreement states otherwise. Support is provided by email during business days.

9. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, its software, documentation and data compilations. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use API responses within your own products. You may not resell, redistribute or republish raw responses as a competing data product.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue or blocked legitimate users.

11. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, or that trigger chargebacks or fraudulent payment activity.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@guarda.net.
