What is my IP address?
This is the address the internet sees when your browser connects. Checking your own address is always free and never counts against the daily lookup allowance.

Why does my IP change?
Most residential connections use dynamic addresses that rotate when the router reconnects or the lease expires. Mobile networks go further and share one public address across many subscribers through CGNAT, so the address you see is rarely a stable identifier for a single person or device.
Why is a VPN or proxy flagged?
When your traffic exits through a commercial VPN, a datacenter proxy or a TOR relay, the exit address belongs to that network rather than to your ISP. Our engine compares ASN ownership, hosting ranges and known exit lists to classify the connection and produce a risk score.
